Adventures in Potty Training

This is his idea, not mine. He's been asking for months now. Ollie is like his big sister in this way. The modus operandi: Quietly march into the bathroom off the playroom, pull down the Elmo soft seat from the wall, line up the step stool just so, and climb up. Once he pees and/or poops he blots himself with many tiny pieces of toilet paper, climbs down, responsibly returns the soft seat to the wall hook, and flushes.


To be honest I really love diapers on one year olds, but we are getting such a kick out of his eagerness to take initiative. That said, Ollie has no problem unloading in his diaper if we're playing downstairs or on the go.
