"Lacey Shoes"

Introducing Buby's first pair of "lacey shoes." He's totally psyched and slowly learning to tie them on his own, both at home and on a lacing board at school.


Most of his footwear thus far has been Ecco brand with Velcro fasteners, but ever since he was fitted for his braces last fall he's had to switch to running sneaks. It's difficult to find styles that provide enough support and also accommodate his brace. I've spent hours in shoe stores with no luck.


The other night we were out to dinner, and I asked the boys to dart into a sneaker shop next door just in case. Less than five minutes later they were walking out with a pair of size 2 youth Nike and these groovy blue laces. Buby swears by their comfy-ness.


P.S. My Sweets and I are betting that Buby's Tower of Pisa will be out by tomorrow night. It's so close now.
