The Rocket Launch

I'm so glad I was able to accompany my boys on their inaugural rocket launch this past Sunday. It was an incredible sight.


My Sweets used a diy hobby shop Flash! rocket. We all counted back from 10 and cheered wildly during blast off. The first flight with an A8-3 engine hit an altitude of about 150 feet. Once he spotted the bright orange parachute Buby was off and running into a nearby field.


The second engine was a C6-5. Would you believe it shot up 950 feet? Even with all eyes on the sky we lost that one for a minute or two while it was descending back to Earth. The rocket landed in a tree far far away, and we all hiked to witness its recovery. Hip hip hurray.
