Photo Gallery: First Day of T-Ball

Saturday morning Buby started T-Ball at the YMCA. He told us he wanted to play baseball, so we signed him up for the 3-6 yr old class before the holidays and he's been crazy anxious waiting for it all to begin.

As suspected, Buby a bigger fan of baseball than he is soccer. Coach Tom couldn't be more awesome. He's fun and patient and totally knows what he's doing with this age group. Buby was a superb listener the whole time. He is eager to learn the sport, probs since we've been throwing balls--in the house--since he was like six months old.

The very first session the coach covered warm-up, pitching exercises, hitting practice, the stance dance, and basic caveats of the game. They even made time for a quick scrimmage with each kid having a turn at bat, parents cheering, and little people sliding into bases. Not always the correct bases, but bases nonetheless. I can't believe we have a child who is old enough for this stuff. It was a good hour for all of us.

I hope it stays this fun. Next weekend Buby will be prepared with sweats that fit and sneaks that fit. So sorry about that, Bub. You're just growing too fast for me.
