Cookies for Kids' Cancer
If you're going to be in the NYC area on Saturday, May 9 please stop by Washington Square Park, buy some cookies, and support kids with cancer. This charity was started by a work friend of mine whose little boy Liam was diagnosed with stage IV cancer when he was only two and a half years old. Two years later he is still fighting.
My Sweets has never met Liam personally, but he's a match for him and treks to Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center whenever Liam is scheduled for surgery and needs blood or platelets. {I love him extra for that!} We also had a small bake sale at Tom's office and raised more than $400 for the cause. Every little bit helps, people, and I plan to do more. Read Liam's story here. Learn about Cookies For Kids' Cancer here. Find out how you can get involved here. Or just show up on Saturday and buy a few yummies for your tummy.
