i heart

this weekend

i love the sight of: Buby running into the arms of a grandparent, all sorts of heart apparel and a homemade hat for Bleu {thanks, Jen}, my niece + nephew showing me their new rooms all done up, Buby in his sock monkey pjs, my niece Sid dancing to just about any beat, a starry sky

i love the sound of: my TomTom navigator {he's British}, old U2 on the radio, a quiet house from 10-11 on Sundays, Buby's excited screech when you tell him something nice, Buby calling my mom into the loo to say,
"Grandma, I don't need privacy. Let's talk about how much you missed me!"

i love the scent of: baby powder, my kids' hair after a shower, rain, fresh linens, coffee beans

i love the taste of: my mom's egg salad + cinnamony applesauce, warm bagels, my sister-in-law Melissa's six-layer chocolate Oreo cake {it was every bit as scrumptious as it looked}, honey bbq chicken supermelt from Friendly's on the roadtrip home

i love the feel of: My Sweets for four straight days, cleaning the house + doing all the laundry before going away, falling asleep with Bleu snuggled + snoring between us, bbq dinner for 9, my brother explaining Facebook to me, reading "Cutie Pie" and "Where Do Kisses Come From" at least 10xs in the car ~ for Buby, reading a whole newspaper and the latest issue of Wondertime magazine ~ for myself, my rings after a cleaning

These are my favorite posts that you write. I listened to old U2 this weekend, too. Our house is a madhouse on Sundays from 10:00-10:45 b/c we're scrambling to get ready for Mass! Ah, Friendly's...I haven't had a good Friendly's experience in a few years. I'm always disappointed whenever we go, so we just don't go anymore. Reading a whole newspaper...that's quite a feat. I know how precious your time is. Good list.

PM!!! 10-11PM on Sundays. That's when "Brothers + Sisters" is on ABC. This Sunday we were at my mother-in-law's townhouse, so there were no distractions or chores. Buby was sound asleep, Tom had to run out, and Bleu fell asleep face-up on my chest as I lay on the couch. It was so peaceful. The whole house was dark, and I could feel her breathing on me. So nice.

Oh, and I'm NEVER disappointed with Friendly's. There was one right near my OB, so we'd go once a month after appts. Love their turkey melts, waffle cheese fries, and super thick shakes!

Oh. Duh. PM!!! I need to try your OB Friendly's. Jon and I have completely taken Friendly's out of the list of options when we dine out. I'm willing to give it another chance.
