As long as I'm on my "found objects" kick, I found these plates at apple fest a couple of weeks ago. And LOVE them. Some dude had them in his yard sale, and I couldn't resist. I negotiated him down to $5 for the two. An incredible deal since both Newell Pottery pieces are still in their original boxes with certificates of authenticity and titles of ownership.
The plates are part of a limited edition Rockwell on Tour set. They preserve the private postcards hand colored by Norman Rockwell and sent only to his personal friends during his European tour in the summer of 1927. I bought the second plate in the series titled "Promenada a Paris" and the third titled "When in Rome." I can find the first and forth online to complete our set.
