Still working on the preschool thing. We've seen several in the past few months trying to find the right fit for Little Dude. After carefully selecting a generous mix of Montessori, Waldorf, Play-Based, and Co-Ops to check out, we still don't know where we'll send Buby this fall. We just know where he will NOT go. The deadlines are quick approaching. Montessori is definitely the favorite here, but even those environments, tuitions and admissions vary dramatically from school to school. So you have to visit each one. YES, I'm THIS annoying about all major decisions. Well, several of the play-based schools left a bad taste in our mouths... like chaotic daycare centers where the focus is on the teacher, not the individual child, and there's very little enrichment of any sort going on. Our top two picks {by far} don't even compare to the others and continue on past preschool. We LOVE them! But both are 30+ minutes away 5 mornings a week. And a major commitment with Bebe on board. So we'll see. Just wanted to share these clips from the Feb 2008 issue of Wonder Time. They have a primer on the 5 leading styles of preschools. I didn't learn anything new, but I applaud the designer's cereal-box approach to illustrating the article. Click each photo to read the small print.

These cereal boxes are so clever! I'm such a sucker for advertising. I'd love to pick your brain about some of your choices...if you don't mind. Good luck with the decision. What is your absolute last day for the deadline?
i would love to read this article ... it has been an interesting adventure searching for a preschool.
good thing you like to research!!!
what a process .. i love that you want the best for buby, not just a place to go to preschool ..
love you forever
