I can't believe we didn't own this bedtime classic until now. Our neighbors, Mr. & Mrs. V., dropped it off for Buby's birthday. They are such nice people. Mr. V. leaves fresh-picked peppers and vine tomatoes on our front porch every now and then. And tenders to the most wonderful cutting garden, from which he always shares the bounty. I have three vases going at the moment. So I read "Snug As a Bug" by Michael Elsohn Ross and Sylvia Long the second I picked it up. I didn't grow up with many children's books, so I guess you could say I am making up for lost time. A sucker for good illustration and all things rhymey, I get giddy when a new book comes into the house. I run over to the couch first chance I get and read it many times through, even if Buby is already asleep. This book is a sweet and cutely illustrated look at bedtime routines from a bug's-eye perspective. Buby is going to LOVE it.

So glad I checked in today! This is a great book! It is on our shelf of favorites. So glad it made it's way to Buby Land!
