Ceru at the Berlin Wall
Buby has a sweet little sock monkey of his own, handmade by Granny DJ and personalized with a felt jacket stitched with Buby's name and birth year. We call him Sock Monkey. Simple. And not to be confused with the many other tiny stuffed things with whom Buby now shares his sleeping quarters, including LuLu, Elmo, Pooh, Donkey, Doggy, Turtle, Bunny, Puppy, and Ducky. During our goodnight routine, I take attendance and call out each of these furry friends by name. I think Buby finds comfort in knowing they are there, which is so funny only because he would have nothing to do with plush stuff until he was well over 1 1/2 years old. He did not want anything in his crib. Would throw it out. Only lately has he developed this attachment to all things cuddly. Buby's new outlook: The more the merrier.
I was curious of the origin of the sock monkey one day, and in my research came across Ceru, a fun-loving monkey who likes to travel. Meet Ceru. I loved these pictures of him so much I could not NOT share. Can't wait to see where he goes next. I'll be checking back at Flickr.
