Food For Thought

I can hardly believe it myself. I'm rarely inspired in the kitchen. That is My Sweet's department. But then I picked up this Taste of Home magazine, $9.99, at the checkout counter, and it was infatuation at first sight. I think it's the perfect manual for summer, and I'd love to try cooking just about any tantalizing recipe in it. C'mon, don't laugh. I'm serious! We have a zillion cookbooks in Buby Land, but this is the first recipe magazine I've ever purchased myself. I suggest you snag this baby ever you see it. The recipes--all submitted by readers and voted irresistible by editors--are simple yet ingenious {ha ha, I say that now}, and the food photography amazing. I'll scan in some of the most mouthwatering for you later this week. I hope to cook up a storm for Buby's red, white and blue birthday bash on September 8th.

I'm curious to see how this new cooking venture turns out. I've always loved trying new recipies and remember that when you were little "new recipe night" was not your favorite. Creating something delicious in the kitchen can be very rewarding - don't forget to share the good ones with your mom.

No... I did not like "new recipe night" as a kid. Even now, not so adventurous with my food. But these recipes are simple.
