Granny is Goooood

Excuse our absence from Buby's Place yesterday. We will make it up to you--just wait! I was in the city all afternoon for a magazine thang and then met hubby for dinner date. The Granny Nanny flew in to spoil Little Dude. I must say, it's amusing to watch Buby hang with his Granny DJ. He just adores her, and that makes my heart smile (and I'm sure hers, too). You see, I loved both my grannies growing up but they were OLD! At least they seemed old to me. I have no memories of running with them in the park, laughing so hard I peed, or plopping down on our tummies to race matchbox cars! Buby has that. And 2xs over with deux wonderful young-at-heart grandmothers who dote on him hand to chubby toe. When Granny DJ's in town, Buby forgets I exist. Last night after dinner, he grabbed his fave tome "I Love You Through & Through," parallel parked himself on her lap, and just laid back and chilled. And if you know Buby, he's hardcore action. So to see him unwind like that was sweet. I found this book I'd like to get him--( "We're Very Good Friends, My Grandma & I" by P.K. Halliman)--it reminds me of their relationship. Buby loves sports, and they spend hours outdoors when she's here. So to honor Granny Nanny's 19 months of service so far, here's Buby's 'Top 10 Reasons My Granny DJ Rocks':

1. She brings books to read, LOTS of books
2. She will read the same one over and over if I ask
3. She rolls around on the floor like a big kid
4. She encourages me to chalk on the driveway
5. She likes long walks, just like me
6. She lets me hold her camera and replay videos
7. She laughs at me, but I don't mind
8. She gets me to eat meat when nobody else can
9. She kisses my forehead for no reason at all
10. She loves me through and through. Duh!
