Today Buby took on yet another Easter Egg Hunt. This time at Thomas Bull Park. It's an annual to-do that draws about 1,000 kiddos the day before Easter. (We lucked out in '07... the newspaper printed the wrong time, and we were blessed with unusually frigid temps. So that meant only 250 kids, and LOADS of leftover chocolate.) We took Buby and his cousins Spencer & Grace.
The older two stayed warm jumping on inflatable amusements until 9:30 am when the Easter Bunny, a fuzzy yellow chick, and a random purple cow made a dramatic entrance riding down the hill on motorcycles. Kinda cool. A horn beeped, and the kids ran into one of three roped off areas. 3 & under, 4-7 years, and those with disabilities. It was well organized, and there were thousands of eggs in a plain sight. 155 of them were considered "special" and came with bonus prizes. Everyone who turned in their eggs got a mysterious paper bag filled with candy. Somehow--without even asking, I swear--Mama got 2.
We colored eggs tonight. Bit of a mess. After the kids went to bed, Aunt Jen hid eggs all around the 1st floor for yet another indoor egg hunt. All 4 kids' baskets are hiding as well. Can't wait to see their faces!!
