HAPPY EASTER! Buby looking gorgeous as ever in his Sunday best. A BIG "thank you" to Buby's brood for the wonderful holiday gifts. Merci beaucoup to Granny DJ for the ornaments, books, and new spring duds. Aunt Jen & Uncle Mark for the clever-as-ever handpainted bucket loaded with fun. Aunt Judy & Uncle Jim for the lovely turtle!

It was chaos in Buby Land, but the best kind. The kind you never want to end. Okay, at some point it should end to catch some zzzzzs. The four lil' ones played rough, and the four big ones played nice. We came together and stuffed our tummies until we could stuff them no more. Spencer said Uncle Tom's mac & cheese tasted 'just like Grandma's'. Gracie's baby tooth fell out on Easter night while rough-housing with big bro (an anticipated event but exciting just the same). The Tooth Fairy found her, even in Buby Land. Grace also beat Aunt Jenny (moi) at UNO, which was a first. Aunt Jenny beat Spencer at arm wrestling.... too many times to count. Is it mean to not let him win one? Note to self: work on competitive nature.

All 4 kids bathed, played, and then--to our delight--put themselves to sleep. Aunt Jenny uncorked a bottle of champagne and immediately cut into the cake, pie, cookies, and ice cream (but of course!) while the others polished off a bottle of pinot grigio and vegged. When time finally came to catch some zzzzzs, long after head hit pillow, Mark called to say he had locked himself out. Alas, sleep did come. And a happy Easter indeed.
