The Girl in the Middle

She's the girl who does everything in her own time. Usually early.

She's the girl who whispers louder than she talks.

She's the girl who follows rules to a fault.

She's the girl who expects others to do the same.

She's the girl who always wants peanut butter + jelly sandwiches.

She's the girl who has decided she will marry mommy and daddy.

She's the girl with static electricity.

She's the girl who knows what she can tolerate wearing and what she can't.

She's the girl who makes me laugh when I totally shouldn't.

She's the girl who brings me to tears, more than I will ever admit.

She's the girl who starts every sentence "When I'm a mommy...."

She's the girl who holds on tight. In every way.

She's the girl who teaches, nurtures, and fiercely protects her younger brother.

She's the girl who challenges her older brother to duels.

She's the girl with the cocoa bean eyes.

She's the girl with the fake laugh.

She's the girl who asks us to "go slower please" so she can learn the prayer.

She's the girl who always chooses
a real-life story over one in a book.

She's the girl who sings under her breath all day.

She's the girl with whom I feel so close and connected.

She's the girl who rocks the sweatpants.

She's the girl who trips over cracks in the sidewalk.

She's the girl who brushes it off and continues on.

She's the girl in the puffy white coat, zipped to the top. Finally!

She's the girl who hasn't worn socks in two years.

She's the girl who has a clear picture of what heaven looks like.

She's the girl who remembers everything you say. Forever.

She's the girl who never played independently.

She's the girl who always has a "secret" to tell, which isn't a secret at all.

She's the girl who thrives on routine and predictability.

She's the girl who is always inquiring about my childhood.

She's the girl who does not want her hair brushed.

She's the girl who bonds with my mom over nail polish.

She's the girl who clicks better with older kids than ones her own age.

She's the girl who plans to spend her 4th birthday at a horse museum.

She's the girl who takes great pride in learning a new skill.

She's the girl who runs an extreme fever anytime she's fighting a virus.

She's the girl who wants to be wherever I am and help with whatever I'm doing.

She's the girl who eats olive hummus and brie.

She's the girl who never slept well from birth to 2.5.

She's the girl who is the best sleeper in the world now.

She's the girl who skips home from school.

She's the girl with the stellar report card.

She's the girl who can eat hot sauce and Altoids without flinching.

She's the girl who knows who her true friends are. And aren't.

She's the girl who climbs and swings and soars.

She's the girl who never thinks she is going high enough.

She's the girl who wants to make her daddy proud.

She's the girl who asks for piano, art, and tennis like her brother.

She's the girl who doesn't see that she's any younger or smaller.

She's the girl who draws the amazing stringy rainbows. Every day.

She's the girl who says "mo" for more and "fangs" for things.

She's the girl who forces me to have more patience and more understanding.

She's the girl who is best appreciated one-on-one.

She's the girl who thinks she "came" with short hair.

She's the girl with the magic smile.

She's the girl who I never want to see grow up.

She's the girl who I can't wait to see grow up.

She's the girl who tests me and loves me. Maybe more than any person ever will.

She's the girl I never knew I always needed.

Thanks, Irv! I'm so happy for you. I hope it's a good pregnancy for you.

Do you know yet if you're having a boy or girl? We found out with the first two around 20 wks but never found out with Oliver since we were all set for either. I loved it both ways.

Take care :-)
