Best Part of the Day

Hands down it was seeing Bleu play with her pal Natalie. I'm so glad I was present for those quiet giggles... the giddy whispers of "C'mon, Let me show you this!" Bleu literally skipped from room to room with happy exuberance. Nat is such a good sport by nature and super mature for 3, so my girl checked her dramatics at the welcome mat and played blissfully for three hours without any parental helicoptering. Three whole hours.

Meanwhile, I prepared lunch here with two of my favorite moms in the world. We all met five years ago when our first babies were still babies and everything was new. We did music classes, gym, swimming, and regular Friday play dates. The friendships have been invaluable to me {and to Buby} over the years, and now we have 8 children between us. Pretty awesome.

Today's lunch brought warm breezes and sunshine. We ate outdoors while the 5 youngest interacted so sweetly. At exactly 1:45 we all hopped in our cars for the l-o-n-g drives to retrieve our kindergartners.

Bleu and Benji.
