A Few Notes from the Weekend

-Buby waited patiently all week long to see Jake & The Neverland Pirates. It's a new show on Disney Junior. We don't do TV on school days, and I think we are the last people on earth without a DVR. {I like it that way.} Needless to say, the kids were in pirate ship/treasure hunting/matey heaven for a good 30 minutes Saturday morning while I packed for our road trip. The intensity on their faces is priceless.

-Buby made this beautiful watercolor basket at school last week and brought it home on Friday. According to Buby it was the BEST school day EVER. Let's see... pajama day, breakfast-for-lunch day, board game day, show-and-tell day, play-outside-twice day, and egg hunt day. It was a celebration.

-More dream catchers above Buby's bed.

-I went upstairs for 10 minutes to put Ollie down for nap and re-emerged to find Buby had spearheaded the construction of homemade kites via paper, scissors, tape and pipe cleaners {which I always keep handy}.

-Ollie can roll from one side of the playroom to the other in the blink of an eye. It's scary how mobile he is already.

-I decided to recycle some of Buby + Bleu's old shoe boxes from the attic. I found myself getting all sentimental over the last couple of years.

-We are decorated for Easter, and this wreath {purchased for $2 in '09 at our village-wide yard sale} is my favorite decoration. It hangs on the kitchen wall.

-Two short Christmases ago this was Bleu's taggie ball. And now it's Ollie's.

-My Sweets cut up fresh pineapple, and I found this in my bowl.

-The sight of him reading to the children just melts me.
