The only problem with living near pretty places, having offspring who you find utterly charming and hilarious, and owning a camera with a strap is... you take way too many photos without even knowing you're doing it.
This is the day we met my parents for a little fishing, sand digging, stick skipping, and picnicking. It was the most relaxing Saturday I could have imagined.
Tree-lined anything makes me swoon. And dense formations like this definitely draw my attention away from whatever else I am doing.
Ditto for old covered bridges. There aren't nearly enough of them around here.
Digging into muddy sand equals awesome for this boy.
Head to toe fly gear. That's right, ladies. Fly gear.
Buby's thoughtful arrangement of stone and stick on sand.
I know. I looked big for 14 weeks. And now I look big for 15.
I always look up to see how sunlight bounces off the treetops. That's my favorite thing about hiking. That and collecting rocks along the river.
It's a challenge to keep shoes on this girl. She likes to live life on the edge.
Every time we fish at this location I stop to admire the brown house with bright red trim. Something about it.
See the smoothie Buby made me? It even came with a straw.
We hung here, just the six of us, for more than five hours. Then our bellies told us it time to go in search of food.
Dandelions. Buby wishes upon a star that these weeds will someday cover every yard in every state in every country across the universe.
They get each other.
Oh, Grandma!
These boots are one of the loves of her life.
Grandpa has his hands full. What will he do with three?
My favorite shot of the day. These two play off each other like a pair of standups.
Mr. Bub, I love you.
Do you ever pay attention to the way a river meanders along the curvy shoreline? I love that.
