Memorial Day

Happy day of remembrance. Our celebration went something like this: Woke up at my mother-in-law's house, lunched at my parents' house, and dinnered at my father-in-law's house. And by dinner I mean BBQ on the farm with some of our fave little people. We were spoiled with juicy watermelon, corn on the cob, 4 wheeler rides, and wild swings on the big green hammock.

My Sweets and Grandpa J. made a stunning campfire to roast marshmallows, but eventually it started to rain. So the boys set up their tent on orange shag carpeting, and Bleu and I snuggled together on fuzzy checkered flannel sheets upstairs. Note to self: Never sleep in twin bed with Bleu again. For her sake and mine.

This morning our brief excursion "home" would come to an end. We were able to squeeze in a nephew's first birthday party, an aunt's family reunion, a stop at a fish hatchery, and a couple of quick meals. I hope to make another trip with the kiddos in August, pregnancy depending, to see the peeps we missed this time around.
