This Is... Bleu in Action

It's so good to see her back at work zooming Buby's motorcycle and antique tractor across the table. Not that she ever lost her spunk. Oh no.


Bleu had her follow-up visit today. My Sweets took her since I was recuperating. She looks A MILLION TIMES better. After the first few hours in the hospital her glucose levels alone jumped from 57 to 97. Dr. N. did the right thing sending us.


She hasn't gotten her full appetite back yet and still doesn't want to drink anything other than water. The doctor ordered clear foods for the first day, a bland/crunchy/dry diet for day 2 and no dairy for 3 or 4 more days {since her diarrhea persists}. We're making meals out of Kashi 7 grain crackers, all-natural pretzels and Jello cups... since that's what she'll stomach today.


She ate 1/3 of the Jello cup, took two bites out of her banana and doesn't care for the electrolyte-induced Popsicles. Tomorrow we try grilled chicken tenderloins and a vegetable. Hurray! Now that I've filled in the blanks on this weekend I need to rewind and share some vacation photos from Christmas. Promise I'll do that soon.
