I realized bright and early this a.m. that I have no clue how to do girl hair. Bleu doesn't like to be messed with, so I don't typically mess. Around here we just wash, towel dry and let it be.
But Bleu's wispy pin-straight tresses sit right in front of her cocoa bean beans now. The growing hair is obstructing her great big view of the world. I refuse to cut bangs {so far}, and she refuses any sort of barrette {so far}.
That leaves us with the high pigtail option. Several girls in her gym class sport the same manner of hair and their moms swear by these tiny rubber bands that are supposedly impossible for a tot to remove. Just so happens a while back my mom gave me a baggie full of the exact same ones.
So I wet a baby brush and parted Bleu's hair in the middle. {Not yet realizing that wetting before pulling back makes clean hair look greasy. Ha!} Then I looped each of the itty bitty bands around her hair three times. Houdini proof, I would say.
Don't you know... she pulled them out in less than two seconds.

she knows what she wants and doesn't!! very cute!! love you forever
They looked adorable for the short time they were in! Don't worry, I don't know anything about girl hair either, poor LP wanted a french braid for the longest time but I was useless at it. Bleu will teach you, but just as you start to get good at one thing (pigtails were the first hair obsession in our house) she'll start to refuse and move on to something else (now it's headbands only).
