I filled the jar with itty bitty love notes from me. I handwrote them on yellow, blue, orange and pink construction paper, trimmed for pretty edges, and folded in half. Then I interviewed Buby on all the things he LOVES about his Daddy. The exercise was entertaining and proved quite fruitful. Then I threw in a few adorations on Bleu's behalf. She can add to it as time goes on.
Using Castellar font, I printed labels on the same construction paper and adhered to the jar with double-stick tape. I screwed the lid back on without the top plate so that My Sweets can dip in anytime he needs a quick pick-me-up at work.
The jar is simple and sweet and jam-packed with heartfelt goodness. I realized we should all have a million reminders of why we ROCK, so I went out and bought three more identical mason jars. Eventually... Tom, Buby and I will do one for Bleu. And then Tom, Bleu and I will do one for Buby. And so forth.
