Current Miscellany

• She likes to sit inside this blue netted bin from Ikea.
• He likes to walk around with the other blue bin on his head.
• She had a speech explosion last week. It's so fun.
• He has "pretend" imaginary rat and mouse friends. They move around the house and even stole My Sweets' chair at dinner.
• She is obsessed with tomatoes, pork, cheese and bananas.

• He keeps building big block castles for all of his "grandchildren."
• She finally likes milk... if it's in a cup with a super cool bendy straw.
• He and Grace spent 20 minutes building "bear traps" out of sticks in the school yard, he says, just in case the bear is not his friend.
• She melts down every time we ask her to put a coat on. She seriously loathes outerwear. Too bad we live in New York.
• He desperately wants a suit "just like Daddy's." {Psss... Santa located a charcoal pinstripe in Buby's size!}

• She walks up to the counter at the library with her own stack of books now.
• He thanks us every night for hanging lights outside. It's incredibly sweet to see him relish every bit of the season.
• She is still on her "Love Story" kick. I should post a video of her dancing.
• He is full of great ideas. Just yesterday he said, "I have a great idea, Mama. Let's decorate the car with lights, too."
• She wants to wear shoes in the house all day long but flips them off the second we're in the car or public.

• He likes to paint, cut, glue and string at the kitchen table while Bleu naps. Yesterday I told him his button ornaments were completely awesome. He responded, "Thanks for saying that, Mama. That makes me feel good."
• She likes to color and stamp snowmen and gingerbread men on paper.
• He sang his heart out at his winter concert tonight. He looked SO old.
• She won't even look at Santa, but she ADORES Mrs. Claus.
• He is going to go ballistic this Christmas. Ballistic.

• She wastes so many diapers every day. We need to get her in undies.
• He likes nativity scenes. On our twinkle light drives, he shouts, "Look! Baby Jesus and Mary. And don't forget Joseph and the Shepherds."
• She is so sweet with Jazzy. Of the two kids, she is the dog lover.
• He forgets that everyone else gets older, too. Not just him. He keeps offering, "When I'm a Daddy I'll drive Nola to school in her car seat."
• She loves to connect with my mom on the phone.
