FL: Keylime Obsession

We tried the pies at Bob Roth's New River Groves the last time we were in Florida. TWO YEARS AGO. And I haven't stopped thinking about them since. Bob Roth's in Davie is one of the few places I know that really lives up to its reputation.


So last Monday we went again with Buby and Bleu. Terry's key lime was every bit as delicious as I remembered... a lil' slice of heaven. We took a big one to go, but not before ordering fresh coconut milk and lunch at the new organic sandwich bar.


As you can see Bleu was wiped out from a morning body surfing at Ft. Lauderdale beach. She slept in her stroller and nearly missed the entire roadside experience. When she finally woke up Buby offered her half his grilled cheese on wheat. He was antsy to move on to the key lime and banana cream minis. If this place was in NY, I'd be in trouble. For sure.


I left with a full belly and an even fuller heart.
