World Without Doors

This weekend we took to the open road in the four-door Jeep. But this time the two front doors were OFF. Whoa! It was way cool and begged the question, "Why'd we wait so long?" Seriously.

Driving all exposed felt very much like a motorcycle date... both days... except the kids were nestled cozy in the back apparently put to sleep from the refreshing breeze. My Sweets and I flirted our open toes into the wind. And giggled about it. I learned that you can't have a single item in the vehicle that is not pinned down. Or it'll blow out. I read the new issue of Glamour and held on TIGHT.

Saturday was our Little World's Fair day. We go every year. Buby rode horses and petted pigs {or is it pet?} and waited for a chicken to lay an egg. We met up with Tom's work friend Matt and his lovely wife, who live in Brooklyn. The children adored them and their sweet grandparents, who, it turns out, attend our church. Small world. Oh, and we came home with a whole orange watermelon from Delaware. It was the juiciest watermelon experience ever.

Sunday was Rib Fest, another music-and-food filled event we look forward to all season. Bleu LOVES pork, by the way. Did you know that? Here are a couple of snaps from our ride.
