When It Rains

I think it rained every day in June. E.v.e.r.y. day. Thankfully Buby is our resident weather man and keeps us up to date on any impending systems moving in. This way we can race home from the library or park just before it hits. I love how he's also an eternal optimist and can spy the slightest bit of sunshine peeking through the clouds.



For some reason Buby thinks he can control the weather by belting out "Rain rain go away, please come back another day!" or by drawing a portrait of the sun {to cheer up the skies, of course}. Last week we were contemplating the pros and cons of all the precipitation.




The upside of rain:

• Our vegetables grow tall
• The grass stays green
• No watering the flowers
• Fresh puddles for jumping

The downside of rain:

• The playground is closed
• No tricycling around the block
• Wet dog smell
• No swimming
