Okay. We lost most of the tomatoes, lettuce, cucumber and watermelon in the move. The corn and yellow beans and carrots look good though. Turns out the Burpee seed starter worked too well, and we were probably a day or two late getting them from greenhouse to ground. After all was said and done the plants were pretty lifeless. I held out hope, but My Sweets said it was not happening. They were gone. If only...
Booger. We worked so hard cutting out that teeny plot. Tuesday night My Sweets arrived home from work a little later than expected. He had {unbeknownst to me} packed the back of the Jeep with a healthy assortment of tomato plants, watermelon, peppers, squash, zucchini and pumpkin. Thanks to Lowe's. The kids were both sound asleep, and at 11 p.m. we were outside again doing a take-two under the light of the moon.
It was fun and felt sneaky. We got goofy in the process and couldn't wait to see Buby's reaction on Wednesday.
