Photo Gallery: River Crossing

Sunday morning My Sweets went on a motorcycle ride for charity while the kids + I enjoyed a slow start at home. Later we met up at a great site along the Hudson. The weather this weekend was outstanding!! Sunny, breezy, low 80s.



There was a small stream near the river with some rocks. As you know Buby is as careful and cautious as they come. In addition, he doesn't like to get wet or dirty. It's just his nature. I'm always inviting him to stretch his comfort zone, and he usually thanks me for it. I reached out my hand and said, "C'mon, let's run through the water! Put those Tevas to the test." He said, "No, Mommy, we might get hurt." Finally I talked him across. He was so happy and insisted we repeat the river crossing 431 more times. Bleu, on the other hand, lives for wet + dirty. She could really use some adventure shoes... her new satin + leather Bibi sandals were fully submerged.



Oh, and Buby insists on wearing his knit hat inside out and backwards. We told him it was TOO hot for that one and threw him the froggy hat, but he wouldn't budge. He just smiled and said, "No thanks."
