So this is Jenna. She's the older woman in Buby's life. They have been like paper + paste at school all year. Jenna is 5 to Buby's 3 1/2, so she's skipping preschool for 4s and going straight to kindergarten next year. Much to Buby's chagrin.
Her grandmother + I just smile at each other as the two pals say their long goodbyes in the parking lot every M/W/F. They always top it off with a hug, a squeeze, and even sometimes a lift {she lifting him}. Jenna's the one who taught him "See you later, Alligator" and "In a while, Crocodile." They yell out to each other from their car seats like Rocky and Adrian. She lives far away and splits her time between her mom's, dad's and grandma's houses, so I'm thinking we won't see her again after next Wednesday.
I can't imagine being Buby's age and having to say a final goodbye to a friend. I don't even remember having friends at his age, just an older brother, but something tells me Buby will remember these relationships for the rest of his life. They are so important to him now, and he has the sharpest memory of anyone I've met.

That's sweet. I still remember "Butchie" my best friend from preschool. We lived across the street from each other. I was so sad when they moved. I'm sure he'll remember her also.
buby is a good and loyal friend .. he will remember .. love you forever
