Buby + I can get a lot done while Bleu's enjoying her late afternoon snooze. Yesterday we readied the house for Memorial Day. I cleaned downstairs and helped Buby decorate his stars + stripes tree. Then he assisted me in hanging flags, banners and a new bell from Grandma.
Tomorrow we may paint a big rusty old star for our barn. {We rescued it from the curb, and Buby keeps asking me when we can paint it.} I'm thinking we'll also whip up some fresh fruit smoothie Popsicles for the 11 a.m. parade that's going right by our house on Monday. How cool is that? It's like a two minute parade, but the kids will go berserk nonetheless. Firetrucks always bring on the berserk.
By the way, while we were out front attaching flags to railings, Buby says to our neighbor, "We are making our house more beautiful. Because it's a holiday on Monday. You should make your house more beautiful-er, too."

Your decorations look great. I especially like the bunting. We'll go to a parade here in town on Monday. I always cry when I see the veterans in the parade.
