Planting Seeds

We're planting seeds and watching them grow. My Sweets picked up the Burpee Ultimate Growing System
from Home Depot last week with the hopes of passing his green thumb onto Buby. I took the little guy to the store to pick out whatever seed packets he wanted, and on Saturday he + My Sweets planted up 72 cells worth of heirloom tomatoes, cucumber, organic watermelon, yellow beans, carrot, sweet corn, and organic salad lettuce. In June Buby will gift vegetable plants to each of his classmates to continue growing over the summer. We will plant the rest here.

We started our seeds a few weeks ago. We just did some herbs though, the deer eat any vegetables planted in our yard so we joined a farm csa this year (near you actually).

I love the idea of giving plants to his classmates. Is this something the class is doing or just an idea you came up with on your own?

Giving plants to his friends is something My Sweets proposed. It's a nice end-of-year gift, and the kids all love to see stuff grow + change on a daily basis.
