Our first iris of the season bloomed last week. Hip hip!
I can't believe we're old enough to have a babe who is old enough to have a spring break. But we are and he did. Buby + Bleu returned late last night from a week in Upstate, NY. I cannot even tell you my favorite part of our trip to Family Land. Maybe it was Bleu's birthday brunch. Maybe it was seeing my itty bitties play with their cutie pie cousins Spencer, Grace, Parker, Jamie, Reagan, Sid, Lily, and Billy Jr. {We really missed Jessica + Ryan this trip.}
Maybe it was watching Bleu walk for her grandparents for the very first time. Maybe it was hugging my brothers. Maybe it was knowing my mom was cooking up a storm... and that I was first in line. Maybe it was embracing My Sweets after 3 1/2 days apart. {I almost forgot what he looked like.} Maybe it was walking the farm and feeling the breeze hit my face. Maybe it was 5 gooey chocolate chip cookies from Wegmans. Maybe it was Thai takeout from The King & I. Maybe it was surprising my mom at work. {I love surprises.}
Maybe it was seeing my sis-in-law for the last time before she gives birth to baby Mason. Maybe it was watching Buby receive vacation mail from his friend Grace back home. Maybe it was waking up next to Bleu every morning, nestled sweetly in my arms. Maybe it was hearing my nephew Parker shout "Aunt Jenny! Aunt Jenny!" again and again. Maybe it was seeing Spencer act out a wrestling match on the trampoline... when he thought nobody was watching. {Hehe.} Maybe it was seeing all the boys play ball. Maybe it was getting some darn nice hand-me-downs. Maybe it was hearing Sidney say my name for the first time. Maybe it was seeing Bleu reach for others, finally.
Maybe it was seeing Buby all flushed and sweaty and dirty and having the time of his life. Maybe it was devouring that Abbott's Fudge Brownie sundae on Sunday. Maybe it was seeing my dad and my lil' brother so cute in matching yellow. Maybe it was knowing Buby started every morning by playing with Grandma DJ. Maybe it was listening to Reagan read a book to her mommy. Maybe it was seeing Buby and Grandpa J. drive off into the sun on a big old tractor.
Maybe it was 7 days of sunshine. Maybe it was getting original artwork from all 3 nieces. Maybe it was following My Sweets home in his Jeep and watching the mountains go green. Whatever it was, it was a good spring break. Thanks, everyone. A million and one photos coming right up. Well, I'll start with Bleu's polka dot party tomorrow and work my way back from that.
