the sight of: Bleu tasting fresh avocado, steamed broccoli and watermelon; Bleu nestled in my arms at 4 a.m.; children's artwork; Buby tackling a stack of wooden jigsaw puzzles; a handmade kite in the air
the sound of: contestants 3, 6, and 9 on American Idol last night; Buby spelling out words; our British TomTom saying "take the motorway and keep left;" Buby and his friend Jenna yelling "see you later, alligator" and "in a while, crocodile" to each other across the school parking lot; Buby saying "Nola, you did such a good job. i'm so proud of you," while leaning in to hug her; Buby saying "thank you for my shoes Mom + Dad"
the taste of: a bruschetta burger on focaccia and key lime pie shooter from Applebees; Tom's homemade banana pancakes and scrambled eggs;
the feel of: my head hitting the pillow at 4:05 a.m.; making my own invitations, even if they are a little late getting out; reading to Buby; the kids having a good day
the thought of: Bleu's first tooth arriving just shy of her first birthday {bottom left center broke through on 3.30.09}; green popping out of the ground
