Refreshing

Bleu getting a lift to go down the slide.

Saturday after swim class, errands and a picnic lunch at home, Bleu + I went to a Pampered Chef party at my friend Alana's house. I'd never been to one. It was fun and made me think of all the mother-daughter showers in our future. Plus, there was this to-die-for watermelon/peach salsa there. That alone was worth the trip. The boys dropped us off and went fishing. Later we all played outside in the grass, failed to fly a kite, and drove home through the mountains with the Jeep top off. It was refreshing, just like the salsa. Both kiddos were out cold, so My Sweets and I pulled into an old-fashioned ice cream parlor and I jumped out to buy us dinner and shakes. Plain old vanilla for him, of course. A custom banana chocolate chip for me. Of course.
