Friday night was such an awesome night for us. It was our Buby's first school recital. His first time performing anything on a stage in front of hundreds of people. He attends a small private school, and at 3.5 years Buby is the second youngest student there. He's always been shy around big groups, and as of last Fall his teacher told me he wasn't comfortable raising his hand to go on stage during Morning Music. Needless to say, it was an incredible moment for My Sweets + I to watch him up there Friday night. Buby looked so proud in his bright red shirt and colorful new scarf. He was only slightly stunned by the massive turnout and seemed more confident and well prepared as the night went on. He was totally ecstatic to spot us cheering him on from the front row.

Buby and 11 comrades kicked off the evening with three songs: Grizzly Bear, We Are Snowmen, and Wintertime is Here. Turns out he really had to go potty, so we were delighted he kept his composure. The kids exited the stage after but returned at the end to sing May You Have Peace and take a bow with the rest of the school. Buby ran into our arms after the concert and couldn't wait to point out the snowflakes hanging from the ceiling {a project he did in art class}. We celebrated with a cup of hot cocoa at a local restaurant, a very special treat. This last shot is my fave. He's in the middle shouting "Hi Mommy!"

Too cute! What a special moment to remember forever. I remember attending all of your music, scout, school, etc...events and always heading to Friendley's at the end for an ice cream sundae. Good Job Buby ~ I wish we could have been there. We love you all and can't wait to see you this weekend.
