One Below

Despite the frigid temps it was business as usual today. Buby had preschool this morning with art and music classes built in, while Bleu and I hit the market to stock up the fridge and pantry. There are a handful of items we can't get at the store near Buby's school, so after picking him up we headed to the one near home. We ran in and out with the double stroller.

People know me there. I'm kind of a food-store spectacle. Racing up and down the aisles with two big plastic baskets ~ one awkwardly hanging over each stroller handle, both ridiculously overflowing ~ the lower stroller compartment weighed down with milk and water and ~ oops ~ dragging on the floor, something balancing over Bleu's head ~ like eggs ~ and a 12-pack of Charmin stuffed under my arm pit. It's funny, but it works for us.

On our way out Buby reminded me that "It's so chilly," while Bleu unzipped her coat for the zillionth time. She likes the zipper sound I think. Maybe because Aunt Mel and Uncle Mike recently gave her the Laugh + Learn purse, and the front zipper on it sings.

Anyway, I had my Canon in my bag and couldn't resist snapping their sweet faces as I loaded them into a warm + toasty car {note: electric start is the best gift I've ever received}. Ugh. I love these guys with all my heart. So much it hurts. I hope they know it. And feel it every single day.

By the way, I am a fan of winter. I like snow. I don't mind extreme cold or icy roads as much as others, especially if there is pretty white stuff on the side. I like skiing and skating and sledding, snow angels and snowmen. I like hot cocoa and whipped cream and pretty knit hats and my furry-lined boots and other cozy apparel. I like hearths and holidays and wreaths and the sound of plows early in the morning. BUT right now I'm sort of over all of it and wanting for Spring in the worst way. Hope it comes early.

Oh my sweet Lord! Love your blog!!! Love reading about your lives and keeping up with the Joneses ;) The kids are beyond adorable! And love all the fun things you do! I do not love cold/snow/hats/scarves/jackets/etc...but then again you know where I come from! I've been feeling awesome flying out the door with my Nena with hardly any clothes on and FLIP FLOPS, that's my kind of winter!!! :) Love ya!
