Letter to Santa
Buby covered in stickers and writing his letter to Santa. This year he drew pictures of four trains in red, blue, green, and orange markers and asked me to write "Dear Santa, I want trains + Terence. Please. And skates. Thank you." I'm pretty sure he didn't really want skates as this was the first I'd heard of it. Earlier that morning we read Corduroy's Christmas together, and in the book Santa leaves Corduroy a pair of skates under the tree.
Every year Buby draws a picture for Santa. When he's done we roll it up, tuck it inside this awesome Letter for Santa ornament and hang it back on the tree. On Christmas Eve Santa takes the list, along with our yummy homemade cookies and cocoa, and leaves a few goodies in return.

i love the idea of leaving the letter on the tree!! buby is growing up so fast .. you are a treasure buby!! every minute of your life has been a joy to share!!
love you forever
So cool to leave the letter on the tree. Very clever. We mailed ours down at the post office. The clerk was awesome about taking the letter from G and we even received a letter back from Santa about a week later. It was a form letter, but the fact that it came from the North Pole made it very special.
