My Sweets was home sick Friday feeling yucky and rundown from a cold. But that night we thought a drive and some fresh {frigid} winter air would do him some good. After dinner we drove to a place that puts on the most fantastical lights festival once a year. We lucked out with premo parking, bundled up the itty bitties real snug, and very quickly found ourselves wandering down a dark side street that everyone else seemed to have skipped right by. It put us directly under the action. Bleu did not like the bangs, so My Sweets stood back and held her close. BUT for Buby it was heaven on earth. The look on his little boy face {head back, mouth open} is one I'll stamp into my mama memory for all time. Here is a snapshot of what we saw. The first few I took on automatic with the flash off. The others I took on "fireworks" function. After the show we enjoyed a band of bagpipers who seemed to be performing a private concert, just for us. Lead by Santa Claus. What a wonderful night.

Buby gets his love of fireworks from his mom. When we used to take you to the July 4th festivities you made a comment after each one. People used to enjoy watching you as much as the fireworks themselves. Great photos and great fun! Love you!
