Old Photo Friday

Buby and I were on our bellies last week looking through some old albums. "Old" = pre-digital, back when I tapped my toes at the one-hour-window anxiously awaiting my prints. And then spending many a late night arranging them on sticky binder sheets.

Flipping through my albums is a treat for Buby. He loves when I whisper to him about life before him. The adventures of Daddy & I. When he landed on the page above he freaked. Absolutely freaked with joy. Then jumped up and ran to his car bin, giggling giddy as he dug like a mad man through his inventory. He pulled out his green dirt bike and raced back to me screeching, "Look, Mommy... Daddy and I have the same bike!!!" Then Buby said "Let's take a picture." I'm not kidding. He said that. He shares my obsession. This is his photo of the old photo.

One day in 1997 my fiance threw two bikes in the back of his black Izuzu pickup and took me motor crossing in the Arizona desert. Racing up and down ravines, jumping some mucho mounds of sand, and diving head over heals into a few cacti {okay, that was just me}. Understandably, it was hard to focus on anything other than this guy's unintentional HOTness. He was, and is still, the coolest person on the face of the earth. Off the charts cool. He's collects vintage cuff links, worries about things like my car radiator, and pulls off long black hair like nobody's business.

What a smart little man, that is too cute that he went and dug and found his identical bike! The joys of being young!

Tom looks so cool here. Love that Buby has the same bike. Now Bleu needs one.
