Library books. What an idea. How is it that we were buyers all this time when we could have been borrowers? Today Buby + I walked to the public library on the corner in search of Laura Numeroff's wonderful children's titles and walked out with the following:
- If You Give a Mouse a Cookie
- If You Take a Mouse to School
- If You Give a Moose a Muffin {our fave}
- If You Take a Mouse to the Movies
- Dumbo the Flying Elephant
- George and Martha's Round and Round

We are hooked on the If You Give... books. And I love George + Martha books. They're timeless stories about friendship. Your town library is a pretty one. Glad you enjoy it.
Check and see if your library has preschool programs. My man takes Rea-Rea to "Mommy and Me" story time (Sept. - June), where they read a book and make a craft related to the story.
Might we also recommend the "How Do Dinosaurs..." series by Jane Yolen? They are wonderful books of non-examples followed by good examples of how to behave in all kinds of kid situations from going to bed, to table manners, to learning colors, etc.:

It does. Spring and Fall there's a 3 and up reading group. I can't wait. We'll check out the Dinosaur books, thanks.
