Tractors, etc.

Only in the country can you spend a Sunday afternoon at a tractor parade. An enormous 2-hour-long tractor palooza with red tractors, orange tractors, green tractors, and blue. Drivers ranging from ages 8 to 80. Overalls, blue jeans, plaid in 90 degrees, sunkissed skin, the works! These were farmers + their friends. Only in the country can you walk down to the community center after for some BBQ in Styrofoam containers. Only in the country can you navigate a winding mountain road along the Delaware in your Jeep. And just happen to hit the second largest soap box derby in the WORLD on your way home. Only in the country... I LOVE IT HERE!

We made the trip with Jeep friends who appreciate the to and fro as much as we do. Buby and Gilly were so excited when we arrived they couldn't stand it. It was pretty crowded, so we snagged ourselves some front-row cement in the shade. Buby was all about Gilly's cooler... raiding it, sitting on it, etc. The two of them threw goldfish pretzels to the tractors during the parade. When Gilly's dad asked them what they were doing, the wee ones replied "Feeding the tractors." Like, duh. Later on they fed a boxer named Dozer a TON of grapes and laughed hysterically as he chewed and spit them back out. This went on for a while. Simple pleasures I tell ya.

These two have been pals since babyhood.

I was mezmerized by all the big tires.

The two babes. Isn't that Natalie adorable?

Grandpa J. would've got a kick out of this.

My favorite color tractor hands down.

See... told you. The grapes were a hit. It was a FUN FUN day. After lunch the kids spent some time at a playground before saying goodbye. We drove through some charming villages in the area. Buby + Bleu were both snoozing within minutes, and My Sweets + I felt like we were on a date. There's nothing like a gorgeous Sunday drive. We are so there next year!

This was by far the BEST and most interesting parade I have ever been too. It was like something out of a story. BP is still talking about it and telling people about it.
