She smiles. Has extremely ticklish feet. Startles easily. And grabs onto my shirt when she does. Prefers to lay belly to belly, especially on Daddy. Has an intense stare. Likes to rest while nursing and nurse on demand. Still loves to be swaddled at night. Is already too tall for most of her 0-3 onesies. Is nearing 6 weeks and has yet to lose her umbilical cord stump {despite alcohol swabs at every diaper change}. Snores sometimes. Has surprisingly light eyebrows with a reddish tint. And rich espresso bean eyes. Was diagnosed with Seborrheic Dermatitis last week {a common newborn skin condition that goes away on its own around 6 months ~ she has it on her chest, neck, and parts of her face}. Loves to watch Buby do anything. Only poops once a week {yes, we've been to the doctors several times, and it turns out she is just a once-a-week pooper... not constipated}. If unswaddled, sleeps with her arms above her head. When in bed for the night, doesn't make a peep until it's time to feed again {roughly 12am, 4am, 6:30am). Doesn't like the bink so far. Now refuses to use the silicone nipple protectors that saved me in the beginning. Pees all day and doesn't mind diaper changes. Flexes her big toe just like Daddy and big brother. Rarely ever cries, though 6pm-8pm are her fussy hours. Is squirmy and strong and already wiggles herself from one side of her crib to the other. Likes the car and the stroller. Is extra sensitive to the sun {so protecting her the next 5 months while she cannot wear sunscreen will be a priority}. Is more than content chilling in the Bjorn carrier while I fold clothes, potty train Buby or make lunch. She is our sweet sweet bebe girl. Awesome in every way.
