Too tired to post anything but pictures. We've had awesome weather and lots of outdoor time this week. Tonight we walked down to the river + collected rocks along the way. By the time we reached our destination all the cup holders in our little red wagon were full. I placed this stick on the ground and told Buby not to cross it. He threw one rock at a time into the water, cheered, and ran back to the wagon for more.

Reagan said, "He's throwing rocks! That's a no no, Mommy." I told her you'd take care of it.
Ha! Well, that's definitely one of our exceptions. Even with my million and one silly rules around here (like only clear liquids in the playroom and no shoes ever), Buby has always been allowed to collect rocks and throw them in the river. We taught him how to skip rocks when he was really little, and it's something we love doing down by the river every night we can. Plus, he inherited my passion for collecting rocks and sticks on all nature hikes. The other exception our friends can't believe... playing baseball in the house. Obviously we use soft balls and only in the playroom, but we've been throwing balls in the house with Buby since he could sit up. He has a bucket of 100 balls and we throw them all day long. He's a great pitcher and hitter. It's only a matter of time before we have broken windows, but we can't ever really go back to a "no balls in the house" policy since 'indoor sports' is a big part of our play time together.
