this weekend...
i love the sight of: Buby trekking up a snowy hill alongside his dad, wet hats + gloves + scarves strewn all over our stone fireplace landing, Buby's reluctant grin {all squinty + toothy} as you tickle behind his neck or underarms, an acceptance letter from our absolute favorite preschool so far
i love the sound of: the babes yelling "WEE!!", James Blunt, Buby pounding his bare belly like Tarzan, "PLEEESE" after my "What do you say?"
i love the taste of: roasted almonds, cereal + milk, penne a la vodka with mozzarella + a fresh loaf of French, pancakes, grilled chicken + cheese
i love the smell of: just-ironed shirts, newspapers, rib dives, Chuck E. Cheese's on a Friday night, maple syrup, oatmeal + shea butter body shampoo
i love the feel of: snow crunching beneath my boots, a fridge full of options, a clean kitchen, reading People magazine {which our house guests left} in my bed after Buby was sound asleep in his, a hot water bottle against my aching back, knowing Bebe will be here in a matter of weeks

I cannot do Chuck E. Cheese without a dose of ibuprofen. As a teacher/mom, I have to check my constant impulse to correct everyone's behavior and restore order to the chaos.
Well, I see your point. Some slightly older GIRL came up behind Buby on Friday and yelled "WATCH OUT!" as she pushed on his back. He didn't mind, but I could've thrown her to the curb... no respect, and her mom was standing right there and said nothing.
Oh how I remember the hot water bottle! I love penne vodka too. I cannot believe Bebe will be here in a matter of weeks. I am so excited for you guys and cannot wait for BB to have a playmate.
I agree on the wet snow clothing strewn over the fireplace, James B., roasted almonds, penne a la vodka, snow crunching, a full fridge, and People magazine. Great list. I like the photo, too. Rib dives...like a restaurant? Where? Please, do tell!
