Buby saying bye to Grandma + Grandpa, 2.4.08

this weekend...
i love the sight of: my parents as goofy grandparents, Buby chasing Grandpa around the ottoman 100xs, a girl's room painted pink + green, our toddler picking up his toys {and putting them in organized, labeled bins}
i love the sound of: 4 adults + 1 kid all singing "Brown Bear Brown Bear" on the way home from dinner, Buby announcing he has to go potty "RIGHT NOW" and saying "I'M DIZZY" after too much "Ring Around the Rosy"
i love the scent of: fresh air, greasy diner food, peppers + onions in a saute pan, my mom's applesauce, coffee brewing in the kitchen {which it does around-the-clock when my parents are in town, pasta with a homemade sauce
i love the taste of: flank steak, my mom's breakfast croissants, ice cold grapefruit juice, fried pickle chips, peanut butter, strawberry banana milkshakes, cereal, granny smith apples, blueberry pancakes
i love the feel of: walking around the village on a sunny winter day, being loved by 2 great men who inspire me daily, Bebe kicking

Ah, I hate goodbyes, especially when Nana J, Tata J, aunt Marty and uncle Carl are involved :( We miss them dearly! Your parents look GREAT! Please say a big hello to them from me!

Your parents sound a lot like my own!! Mine are round the clock coffee drinkers too and my mom is a good old fashioned food kind of cook too!

We had the best time ever and it was hard to leave! Lots of fun with Buby and preparing for Bebe's arrival in April. The Super Bowl ended just right as was all of the food prepared by both of our hosts. Funny - the car was almost empty on the way home. Murphy had so much fun and her and Buby are bonding. We miss you already!

I stole your idea of "sensory romance" for my classroom door decorations this month. The kids each had to write something they love the sight of, the smell of, etc. on a big pink heart, then I taped them up on our door. Great idea!

My favorites from here: picking up toys (and of course the labeled bins!), Brown Bear, peppers + onions, fried pickle chips (never had, but I'm sure I'd love them), Bebe kicking
