Buby + Grammy DJ out to eat, 1.12.08
this weekend...
i love the sight of: my 2 year old on skis, Buby + Grammy DJ playing in the jungle fort, making, pouring and blowing on our pretend tea {because it's hot, of course}, a boy quietly figuring things out himself, the beginnings of Bebe's first crocheted blankie, wings stretched across a twin mattress
i love the sound of: giggling coming from downstairs when I'm 3 floors up in the shower, Buby shouting "GO BABY, GO BABY, GO!" all the way down the slopes, the last Christmas song in church, Buby napping for almost 3 hours
i love the scent of: fresh air after 2 weeks spent mostly indoors, baby powder, hot apples in the blender, clean sheets, coffee brewing
i love the taste of: homemade blueberry pancakes, fried pickles, sliced peaches, pudding, fillet wraps, my applesauce {using empire apples + 1 mango}, ice cold apple cider, hot cocoa with mini marshmallows + whipped cream, roasted chicken with mashed potatoes and peas and creamed corn and croissant rolls for Sunday dinner, rainbow sherbert {for me} for dessert
i love the feel of: watching Buby in slow motion grow up so fast, waking up early and then crawling back into bed for 2 more hours while the babes plays downstairs with his grandma, winning a monumental battle with a customer service manager, making a dent in some household projects, ending the weekend with a rather clever episode of "Brothers & Sisters"

So many good things listed here. Are you making a quilt? Please, do tell! I'm so curious. Ditto on the Christmas song. Were you at the 11:00? I always look for you. We never make the 9:00. Your Sunday dinner sounds delicious. Good for you with the customer service rep. Those are always tough battles and I'm happy to here that you won.

Yes, we were at the 9am. We try to get an early start and always do the 9. Once in a while we're not ready til 8:55, so we have to go to the church next door in order to get a seat.

It was so good to see you and Buby at LG today, LP was so excited to see Buby she talked about it all day. I'm glad you are all feeling better.
