We craft and "cook" quite a bit in preschool for 2s. Today the kids made reindeer food to sprinkle onto their front lawns on Christmas Eve. It hadn't occurred to me, but what a sweet gesture. After all, Santa's reindeer maneuver that ginormous sleigh around the whole world in 1 night. Exhausting! Miss Sherri filled a large mixing bowl with oatmeal, and each child took turns adding white, red + green until they felt it was just perfect. {Some of the kids like to eat the food we use in projects, so Miss Sherri wisely opted for sugar and colored sprinkles just in case.} Buby stirred and stirred and then scooped a generous portion of the food into his bag and yelled "FOR RUDOLPH."

This really is cute. There's a version that's called Snowman Poop and my former students loved it. It's made with mini marshmallows. And there are similar things to make for Valentine's Day and St. Patrick's Day. I'll find a link and send to you.
