We did it. We got 5 dads to watch 6 kids on 1 night so us mamas could have a Girls Night Out. My Sweets was home around 4pm from his own holiday work thing, so I kissed Buby an early goodnight at 5:30pm and headed out. About a mile down the road I realized "Wow, I have a radio!" Buby rules the music selection in my car {all 6 slots}, so this was no small treat. The first song that came on was "Amazed" by Lonestar, a song from my wedding. I almost cried. That's pregnancy for you. But I started thinking of My Sweets. What can I say... I am AMAZED by him and so thankful. Dinner was a delicious 3-hr event at one of my favorite Italian places. I see most of these girls often between gym class, preschool, music, and playdates. But never have we shared a meal where we were able to complete a thought. A real thought. Not while we're catching waters mid-spill, grabbing toddlers as they duck under {or leap OVER, in Buby's case} the table or start hopping like bunnies in the booth, asking them to share with {but not force feed} their friends and to PLEASE find their inside voices. Last night we ate a lot, laughed a lot, and wrapped up the dinner with a decaf cappuccino. Yum! After, I called home to check on my guys. Buby was sound asleep. All was good, so Erika and I hit the shops for 2 hours to finish off our lists. 1 more gift for 1 more person, and we're DONE!! Thanks, everyone.

I had a great evening. Thank you! I laughed so hard and I loved hearing about everyone's Christmas celebrations. Yours, without a doubt, is the busiest I've ever heard about! I am positive that you'll find a way to make it all so special for the three of you! Can't wait to hear about it.
That sounds like tons of fun! I'm so glad you were able to get away for a night...those are always great times with friends! I know I'm going to be in that position soon, so I have been enjoying as much girl time out as I can this year for sure! Thinking of you!
