Playdate Friday

Buby and I hosted a wild morning of play, dress up, chase, reading, and munching. I had a business lunch scheduled in the city that was cancelled last minute, and I'm so glad it was. Or I would've missed Buby and his galpals covered in cream cheese, running in circles, negotiating toys, throwing their arms around each other, and giggling for no apparent reason... except the joy of being in good company. We really missed Barefoot Princess and Baby, but we'll see them next time. Here are 3 shots from the nearly 4-hour playdate... the longest ever!! They usually last 10-12:30, two Fridays a month. We don't watch the clock. The kids just let us know when it's time for their naps. Today, they just kept going and going.

Lillypad Princess takes Buby's spectacles off with her teeth.
Munchkinetta's turn to play class clown. Or fish.

Our neighbor walked by the window with his lawn mower. Yes, in mid November. The kids stood in the window yelling "HI MR. V" and waving profusely until he noticed and waved back. Mr. V. made at least 2 runs with one hand on the mower. I think it made his day.
