This pretty pastel package arrived on my doorstep Saturday morning. It is from Cheryl Karpen, who owns Gently Spoken Communications and started the much beloved Eat Your Peas line of inspirational books. We met at the gift show, and Cheryl was so sweet to send samples. It's a challenge to find charming little books of sayings for boys these days. Sentimental is usually reserved for mothers, daughters, sisters, and best friends. So I love her Eat Your Peas for Sons book. Every page is green or blue and offers up simple words of wisdom. My favorite page says, "Think big. Travel light. Seek knowledge. Be kind. Be really kind. Laugh often. Forgive others. Forgive yourself. Live intentionally." I so look forward to sharing with Buby.
